Dopo che Armstrong ha ammesso di aver fatto uso di doping, Nike ha annunciato che avrebbe cessato la produzione di prodotti associati al marchio Livestrong. Livestrong, l'organizzazione benefica fondata dal ciclista Lance Armstrong, ha avuto un rapporto di nove anni con il famoso marchio di abbigliamento sportivo con un fatturato di più di $ 100 milioni di dollari attraverso la vendita di prodotti. After Armstrong admitted to doping, Nike announced they would cease production of products associated with the Livestrong brand. Livestrong, the charitable organization founded by cyclist Lance Armstrong, had a nine-year relationship with the world-famous sportswear brand that raised over $100 million through the sales of products. “We expected changes like this,” said a Livestrong spokesperson.
