Bobby Abley, stilista poco più che ventenne diplomato allo Ravensbourne Collage, è guidato dal bambino che ha dentro di sé.
Nel suo mondo vivono i personaggi dei cartoni animati, specialmente quelli prodotti dalla Disney, caratteristica fondamentale anche della sua moda. Se la Sirenetta è la sua eroina preferita, sono Topolino e Biancaneve con il loro mondo fatato i protagonisti di Wishery, la collezione che il designer propone per questa primavera-estate.
Le orecchie del celebre topo diventano un bizzarro copricapo, teneri uccellini, cerbiatti e tutti gli animaletti della favola con la famosa mela avvelenata sono il soggetto delle stampe di camicie e pantaloni. L’intera linea è un miscuglio di dettagli ironici, stranezze, come il maglione- teddy bear rosa e tagli sartoriali, cose che Abley ha in comune con due stilisti: Nicola Formichetti, con cui ha collaborato per il progetto NicoPanda, e Alexander McQueen, sue fonti di ispirazione. Bobby Abley gioca con i grandi classici della nostra infanzia e li applica ad elementi tipici del menswear.

In his world live cartoon characters, especially those produced by Disney, and they're also fundamental characteristic of his style. If the Little Mermaid is her favorite heroine, Mickey Mouse and Snow White with her fairy world are the protagonists of Wishery, the collection that the designer presents for this spring and summer.
The ears of the famous mouse becomes a bizarre headdress, tender birds, deer and all the animals of the story with the famous poisoned apple are the subject of shirts and pants’ prints. The entire line is a mixture of ironic details, quirks, like the teddy bear pink sweater, and tailoring, things that Abley has in common with two designers such as Nicola Formichetti, with whom he collaborated on the project NicoPanda, and as Alexander McQueen, his sources of inspiration. Bobby Abley plays with the great classics of our childhood and applies them to typical elements of menswear.
