J.W. Anderson x Topshop

Il 14 settembre, starting day della London Fashion Week, Topshop lancia la collaborazione con J.W. Anderson.

Irlandese d’origine, Anderson studia menswear al London Collage of Fashion e apre nel 2007 il suo marchio fino a diventare stilista emergente dell’anno nel 2012.

“Ho lavorato a questa collezione pensando a mia sorella, perché volevo fosse accessibile. Mi sento come se fossimo in un momento in desideriamo una fanfara, qualcosa di divertente, accessibile e facile. Mi sono avvicinato nello stesso modo in cui faccio le mie collezioni. Ci sono pezzi unici ed iconici. Ho mantenuto lo stesso approccio che ho nei confronti delle mie collezioni. Volevo che rendesse l’idea di come potrebbe essere un negozio J.W. Anderson”.

I pezzi sono molti, maglioni, trench, gonne, pantaloni, abiti, scarpe, giacche stile college, come diversi sono i motivi stampati: paisley, ma anche gattini, ragni, pipistrelli, zebre, tartarughe ed i più classici righe e tartan.

La seconda parte della collaborazione tra Anderson e Topshop arriverà nei negozi nel 2013.

On September 14, London Fashion Week's starting day, Topshop launches the collaboration with the designer J.W. Anderson.

From Ireland, Anderson studies menswear at London College of Fashion and opens in 2007 his own brand until becoming emerging fashion designer of the year in 2012.

“I have worked on this collection with my sister in my mind, because I wanted it to be accessible. I feel like we are at a time where we want a fanfare; something fun, accessible and easy. I approached it in the same way I do all my collections. It was unique and has some really iconic pieces. I wanted it to be the idea of what a JW Anderson store could be.”                                                The items are many, sweaters, trench, skirts, trousers, dresses, shoes, varsity jackets, as several are the prints: paisley, but also kittens, spiders, bats, zebras, turtles and the more classic stripes and tartan.

The second part of the collaboration between Anderson e Topshop will came in stores in 2013.
