Jonathan Anderson ha annunciato una partnership con Converse

Il designer londinese Jonathan Anderson ha sorpreso tutti poche ore fa annunciando, in occasione della sua partecipazione al Pitti Uomo 92, una partnership col brand sneakerwear Converse per rielaborare lo storico modello Chuck Taylor.

Il brand del designer J.W. Anderson si trova infatti al centro di un riposizionamento, concentrandosi da qualche temo su collaborazioni ad ampio raggio con brand come Uniqlo. Si sa ancora poco sulla natura di questo sodalizio ma Converse x J.W. Anderson sembrerebbe concentrarsi su un concept "day to night" e riprendendo il lento sfumare cromatico tipico del brand.

"I’ve been wearing Converse for years and years, so when they approached me I couldn’t turn it down because it’s something that I wear", ha dichiarato Anderson a Business of Fashion, "With the change of power and the oddness of where we are, you start to question what design is about […] Converse or Uniqlo serve an incredible purpose to me. They are universal and I would love J.W. Anderson to be that universal, but we don’t have that [production] volume".
