God Save The Teens: Matt Caplin Aka Mexico Rosel

Matt Caplin aka Mexico Rosel ha 18 anni e viene dal Queensland, Australia. A 16 anni ha cominciato coi primi scatti; suo fratello Callum di 10 anni e le sue sorelline Caitlin di 9  Ashlin di 6 e Mia di 4 anni sono stati i protagonisti e i soggetti preferiti del suo lavoro. Ha cominciato infatti immortalando i balli e le corse dei fratellini nel giardino di casa. Proprio da lì, sviluppa una predilezione nel fotografare la semplicità dei bambini e, autodefinendosi “un gran timido”, di persone che conosce molto bene in situazioni rilassate e distese. Il suo desiderio impossibile è quello di fotografarsi da bambino... Matt ha un amore per "la vera bellezza senza alterazioni" e per questo preferisce fotografare in pellicola senza prima pensare, pianificare e studiare l’immagine e la scena. Spontaneità, immediatezza, naturalezza questo ricerca Matt nei suoi lavori. "Everything they did was so natural and so spontaneous and I think that there, in spontaneity, is where life is most beautiful" ama ripetere. Il suo fotografo, o meglio la sua fotografa preferita è Nirrimi, giovanissima fotografa di successo e talento, madre di sua figlia e come dice lui amore della sua vita. In due hanno fotografato e filmato la Billabong European Roadtrip.

Matt Caplin aka Mexico Rosel is 18 years old and comes from Queensland, Australia. Two years ago he began to photograph his little sisters, Caitlin, Ashlin, Mia and his little brother Callum. They used to play in the front yard and he began to immortalize them while they were laughing and running. From then on, he developed a fondness for photographing the simplicity of children. Infact children became one of his favorite subjects he likes to shoot. If he could photograph any person (past or present) he would choose himself as a child. Matt has a love for “real beauty with no alterations” and many of his images are shot on film. His photographs are very spontaneous, he never really thinks or plans the scene. "Everything they did was so natural and so spontaneous and I think That there, in spontaneity, is where life is most beautiful" he likes to say also referring to his siblings. His favorite photographer is Nirrimi, also a young and talented photographer, mother lof his ittle doughter, and as he says love of his life.
