Slam Jam launches a digital think tank to discuss the most pressing issues of our time

Circle is the digital platform created by Slam Jam together with 2050+, architectural and research firm based in Milan specialized in politics, technology and the environment. These are precisely the main themes of Circle, an online space that starts from the experience of Milan, a city that is the epicenter of phenomena and challenges for the future such as climate change, migration, mass tourism and urban development.

Starting from today Circle will host some editorial pills curated by 2050+, while from February on the platform there will be guest contributions that will further broaden the horizons of the platform, from architecture to design. Circle's goal is to stimulate the critical thinking of its users, creating a place for discussion and sharing with the aim of promoting positive change. For this the platform will function as a collaborative online forum: it will not only provide key information, but also offer a space for the exchange of ideas and collective participation.

Air pollution is among the topics addressed, a theme particularly dear to the city of Milan as underlined by 2050+:

"Milan has one of the highest average levels of air pollution in Europe. Partially due to its geographical conformation of and meteorological conditions, partially to the high density of industrial plants and car traffic. Air pollution poses a major threat to natural and cultural ecosystems, it compromises biodiversity and makes open-air spaces less accessible. How does this affect the way we live in the city and the way we practice sport out there?"
