The Palace x Evisu capsule collection
The London skate brand has officially announced the collaboration with the legendary Japanese denim label
March 30th, 2020
After releasing a video teaser over the weekend, Palace and legendary Japanese denim brand Evisu, founded in 1991 by Hidehiko Yamane, have announced the upcoming release of their collaborative capsule.
The collection is a tribute to the aesthetics of the London clubbers of the late 1990s and early 2000s, who first imported the cult for the hand-crafted Japanese denim brand to the UK. The announcement was made via a video featuring Palace skaters Lucien Clarke and Rory Milanes along with London rapper MC Skibadee.
The collection consists of various denim items of 13.5 ounces of weight – a technical feature typical of medium-high weight denim designed by Evisu. The capsule covers all areas of menswear ranging from t-shirts and sweatshirts that bring the co-branding of Palace and Evisu, to the actual jeans, denim jacket and accessories such as a tote and a bucket hat. Denim jackets and jeans compose a workwear ensemble and are decorated with numerous pockets applied everywhere as a patchwork, each bearing the Japanese brand's iconic gull print.
The Palace x Evisu capsule collection will be available exclusively on Palace's web-shop from April 3rd.
