Palace are Carhartt WIP are back for a new collab
Just in time for the end of the year
December 23rd, 2024
Carhartt WIP and Palace reunite to close the year in style with a collection of 13 pieces centered around durable Cordura® fabric, vibrant color accents, and jersey items featuring graphic prints. This isn’t the first time the two brands have crossed paths: in 2023, their collaboration made headlines, thanks to the balance between Palace’s street aesthetic and Carhartt WIP’s workwear heritage. Now, the new capsule builds on those elements, adding a bolder and more functional approach. The collection includes heavy-duty pieces to face winter and beyond. Leading the way is the Ranger Jacket, crafted in Cordura® and featuring a contrast quilted lining for added warmth and a touch of extra style. The iconic OG Chore Coat uses the same fabric but is unlined, staying true to its workwear roots. A bold co-branded logo stands out on the back, while its structure mirrors that of Carhartt WIP’s Skyler liner, offered here in striking orange and blue tones with distinctive onion quilting.
Comfortable options aren’t left out: the Car-Lux Half Zip Sweatshirt reinterprets Carhartt WIP’s classic heavyweight polycotton, turning it into a high-neck, zip-up top with a kangaroo pocket. Hooded sweatshirts, featuring shared brand embroidery, maintain a streetwear feel, while T-shirts showcase prints inspired by Carhartt WIP’s archives, refreshed with Palace’s touch for a dynamic result. Accessories follow the same approach, balancing functionality and style. The Payton Tote Bag and Duty Gloves incorporate webbing tape details for a technical edge, while the knitted Storm Mask provides cold-weather protection with a clean look. The Austin Trucker Cap is ideal for a more laid-back yet distinctive style. Each piece is visibly co-branded, leaving no doubt about the collection’s origins. Adding to the launch’s authenticity is a campaign shot in New York by Michael J. Fox, featuring riders Kanin Garner (Palace) and Max Palmer (Carhartt WIP) in an urban, genuine setting. The visuals reflect the blend of Palace’s skate culture and Carhartt WIP’s workwear heritage, showing how this partnership effortlessly brings together different worlds.
