The new Swatch 1984 Reloaded collection in three creative workshops
See what happened in the Swatch Stores in Rome, Turin and Milan
October 27th, 2021
For the launch of its new 1984 Reloaded collection, Swatch organized three unique events around Italy. The Swatch Stores in Rome, Turin and Milan were the locations activated for the three workshops: a couple of creators from each city took on the role of host, giving guests the opportunity to interact with Swatch 1984 watches and relive the atmosphere of the '80s by engaging in a series of themed activities created for the occasion.
In Rome the theme was Fashion, so the participants together with stylists Michela D'Angelo and Giada Zappa immersed themselves in the 80s, cutting, pasting and creating looks inspired by those years. The visual artists Red and the Van Orton brothers were the protagonists of the Turin event dedicated to Design, guiding the guests in the use of an exclusive tablet app to customize the silhouette of the Swatch watch with colors and patterns designed ad hoc. In the last event in Milan, the guests had the opportunity to mix a series of 80s-themed music loops made especially for the occasion by Crookers and Sgamo during the Music workshop.
