The complete program of Ortigia Sound System Festival 2019

In two weeks one of the most anticipated festivals in Italy and Europe, that over the course of the years has become one of the most innovative and interesting events of the music scene will return. Ortigia Sound System Festival 2019 is almost ready to animate once again the island of Ortigia with this year's edition, entitled Sentimiento Nuevo. The event will return from July 24th to 28th with an incredible line-up and many other special projects that will make the festival a unique experience. 

Among the artists that will be at the festival this year stand out the names of Giorgio Moroder, Virgil Abloh, Neon Indian, Ben UFO, Yussef Dayes, Ross From Friends, Emmanuelle, Venerus, and many others. To officially inaugurate the festival there will be a Sicilian artist, Colapesce, who will be the protagonist of the boat concert on Wednesday, July 24th. The line-up sees moreover the new entry of Mace, a well-known DJ and producer who boasts collaborations with the most important rappers of the Italian scene. At nightfall, the music will move to Lido Oss (Marina di Ortigia) for the traditional annual event with the Stump Valley. 

The evocative area of the Ancient Theatre will host the talk area OST - Ortigia Sound Talk, where on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 19 to 20.30 many of the artists of the festival and the protagonists of the cultural debate will meet to discuss the most important topics of our times: gender issue, Africa, the future architecture, the role of the Mediterranean sea and of Sicily. The aim is to find connections between the world of art and of music, with culture and design, to better understand the strategies and the need for the upcoming life. 

At #OSS19 there will be space also for other projects, not related to music, but more oriented towards food and sport. Throughout the entire festival, Maurizio Tentella TNT aka Spacedelicious will go around looking for the best restaurants on his customized van, but there will also be show-cooking sessions and other surprise events that will make you discover the taste of this rich land. The marina of Ortigia will moreover host the football tournament “The Island Football Tournament” that will feature the Milanese team Calcetto Eleganza, French team Le Balon FC, the American team Guerrilla and the OSS team.
