Boiler Room is the latest new entry in the Ortigia Sound System Festival 2019 line-up

A few days ago we revealed the anticipated line-up of Ortigia Sound System Festival, the eclectic event that will take place next July 24-28 2019 in the beautiful location of Ortigia, the most ancient part of the city of Syracuse. Along with artists with the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Neon Indian and Elena Colombi, there's now an unmissable new entry. 

The festival will, in fact, host Boiler Room, the music streaming service operating all over the world since 2010 with concerts and DJ sets broadcasted live on the website. The well-known music format will land on the Sicilian coast for the first time ever. Originally with a programme centred around the world of electronic music (garage, house, techno, dub), over the course of the years Boiler Room has expanded its outreach hosting events in more than 100 cities all over the world and opening its doors to other musical genres, as grime, hip-hop, classical music and jazz. 

Ortigia Sound System Festival has selected 5 artists capable of translating into music visions, philosophies and worlds apparently distant from one another, but all sharing the same attitude towards experimentation. 

The #OSS19 Boiler Room stage will see the presence of Call Super, an artist known for his eclectic vision, who was protagonist along with Deena Abdelwahed of the first #OSS18 after party. The traditions of the Arabic world and electronic influences blend in the audio-visual project of the Montreal-based duo Jerusalem in my Heart. The line-up sees the presence of one of the cult personalities of Italian experimental music, Lino Capra Vaccina, a master of psychedelia and close collaborator of Franco Battiato, Juri Camisasca and Claudio Rocchi. Lamus II, the protagonist of OSS 2018 edition inaugural boat party, will perform with Zlatan, right after the release of his debut album. Finally, the stage will see the performance of London-based DJ and illustrator Danielle, who mixes sapiently old school house, electro, new wave, EBM and techno.
