Kim Shui FW 2013 Collection
Transcend
October 7th, 2013
Kim Shui is an elusive talent that only a few have noticed. Conceptual, difficult, sometimes hostile so is the fashion designed by this girl graduated in economics and then in Fashion Design at Parsons. A collection after another, her style is constantly evolving. Since her debut characterized by zippers and asymmetrical lines, then moved to clean cuts and reinterpretations of sportswear in Asian way, now comes to "Transcend", where the focus is the sculptural three-dimensionality of the clothes.
Shui creates architectural clothes, fashionistas frames in different shades of blue, green, black and red, mentioning, more or less consciously, the armor of the Dracula movie directed by Coppola. Hips and shoulders are the focus, enhanced by a play of inserts, of alternations between leather and fabric, creating oversize volumes and sculpted forms. From her base in London Kim Shui looking for a place in the Olympus of fashion, renewing, evolving from season to season, increasingly defining her own style. And this is the road that can lead Shui to success.
