Last Tuesday, in the beautiful setting of the Greek island of Mykonos, OMEGA unveiled its new commemorative collection of Seamaster watches in the Summer Blue hue, in commemoration of the first Seamaster model produced by the Swiss brand exactly 75 years ago. This unique collection offers a selection of eleven timepieces, in seven iconic models, that combine the advanced diving technology now synonymous with all OMEGA's products with a refined design ranging from models designed to elevate the everyday lifestyle to high-tech, high-performance models. Each of these seven models represents a phase in the glorious history of the Seamaster line, retracing its most iconic models and recreating them with cutting-edge technology in special editions that will delight underwater exploration experts and collectors alike. The dials of the models in this collection feature an OMEGA Summer Blue hue that evokes the image of an endless sea on a sunny day in a descending gradation of color that represents the different depths for which each timepiece is designed. The Summer Blue hue was chosen specifically to represent the watch's connection to marine exploration and OMEGA's strong commitment to protecting the oceans. Each dial is made with meticulous care, applying layers of varnish to create a unique depth effect.

Over the course of 75 years, Seamaster watches have become a symbol of marine tradition, refined style, and exceptional endurance. The Seamaster logo, depicting Neptune's hippocampus with its trident, was the inspiration of designer Jean-Pierre Borle during a visit to Venice, where he admired the decorative sculptures that adorned the gondolas. Each watch in the Seamaster Summer Blue collection features a striking commemorative case back that combines the iconic 1956 Seamaster logo with OMEGA's current logo, representing the legacy and evolution of the legendary Swiss brand. The Seamaster Aqua Terra, originally launched in 2002, combines an understated design inspired by the legendary 1957 Seamaster 300 with marine details such as teak-pattern dials and hull-shaped hour markers. The collection features three new models with symmetrical stainless steel cases and crowns: a 38 mm model with OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8800 and a polished and brushed bracelet; a 41 mm model with OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8900, available with a matching bracelet or blue rubber strap. All models feature a Summer Blue dial with a sun-brushed finish, rhodium-plated hands and hour markers filled with blue Super-LumiNova for optimal readability in all lighting conditions both above and below the surface of the water. The water resistance of this first model reaches 150 meters depth. The Aqua Terra represents harmony between classic elegance and marine inspiration, offering a mix of sophisticated minimalist design, advanced technical performance, and a clear Summer Blue hue that recalls the beauty and depth of the oceans.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer is one of OMEGA's most prestigious models, introduced in its first version in 2017. This special model features dials made with laser technology, equipped with extraordinary textures and colors representing the Earth as seen from above. The generously sized case with a diameter of 43 mm is made of stainless steel and can be combined with a blue rubber bracelet or strap. The dial features a day-night display and a circular arrangement of world destinations, with a color representation of the Earth and a silver circle with world destinations. The use of hesalite glass allows the outer and inner displays to merge, showing a 24-hour indication, with light blue for day and dark blue for night. The texture and color of the Earth were achieved by laser ablation on a grade 5 titanium plate, creating a three-dimensional effect with a blue ocean and raised continents. Inside, the Aqua Terra Worldtimer is equipped with OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8938 and is water-resistant to a depth of 150 meters. The visual richness of this model, with the miniature world it contains represents an invitation to exploration and adventure.

The Seamaster 300 is a great OMEGA classic, first launched in 1957 as part of the "Professional" trilogy along with the first Speedmaster and Railmaster models, which in its original, original version featured the exclusive "Naiad" star in the logo on the crown. The Seamaster 300 possesses a dial that is easy to read thanks to rhodium-plated hands, indented hour markers and numerals filled with a blue SuperLumiNova; its quality and precision are guaranteed by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8912, certified by METAS. The Seamaster Diver 300M, a model dating back to 1993, stands out for its elegance and functionality for deep-sea explorers. The Seamaster Planet Ocean is a watch inspired by the design of the Seamaster 300, launched in 2005 with a distinctive orange bezel and helium escape valve. This model introduces OMEGA's famous Co-Axial escapement with Caliber 2500. This high-precision diver's watch offers exceptional performance down to a depth of 600 meters. The 39.5 mm model features a stainless steel case and bracelet, a blue ceramic bezel with a blue graduated scale, and a PVD-treated Summer Blue ceramic dial with a gradient finish. The Seamaster Professional 600, known as the "Ploprof" (short for "PLOngeur PROfessionnel" in French, meaning "professional diver"), is one of the most durable and innovative dive watches ever created by OMEGA.
