Helly Hansen's new FW21 collection HH-118389225
Inspired by the clothing of ocean race sailors
December 19th, 2021
Helly Hansen HH-118389225's AW21 collection draws inspiration from Helly Hansen's one hundred and forty years of history in producing technical clothing for sailing, and in particular from the offshore collection "ÆGIR" created for sailors who compete offshore in the harshest climates in the world. Not surprisingly, Helly Hansen has been the official supplier of one of these competitions, the Ocean Race, for almost 50 years – a sailing race often described as the longest and most challenging sporting event ever, which will have its next edition next October.
The brand has created a collection of modular products integrated and designed to be worn together in the coldest conditions with an aesthetic and a series of colorways suitable to be worn even in the city. Details such as the 3-layer shell technology, the ultrasonic taped seams, the reflective details, the modular caps that attach to different items, are present throughout the collection. The outerwear garments continue the modular theme with zippers that can accommodate the interchangeable caps of the outerwear, allowing great flexibility to the wearer. Among the highlights of the collection are the HH 5-1 STORM COAT, a modular ocean parka that can be worn in 5 different ways, but also historical models such as the HH FLOW PARKA and the jackets of the Reversable Puffa program.
