Japanese design meets merino wool in Goldwin x Icebreaker collabo
Seven genderless items that connect city and nature
October 27th, 2021
New Zealand meets Japan in the collabo between Icebreaker and Goldwin, a celebration of design in which the New Zealand brand's ethical and sustainable manufacturing combines with Goldwin's outdoor excellence. A limited edition 100% merino wool capsule collection that combines minimal Japanese design with the natural performance of merino to create unisex garments that connect city and nature.
To create it, the Goldwin design team selected the finest merino wool with which they then developed 7 genderless styles: from structural outerwear to basics in a sophisticated design with no boundaries of use or gender. The capsule items are made from Icebreaker's signature material, Super Fine Merino, which offers unparalleled softness and breathability against the skin, regulates body temperature in all weather conditions and is odor resistant.
Among the most significant items is definitely the Merino Coat, a unisex coat with curved, wrap-around lines created using a design originally conceived for ski wear, the Merino 15.5 Long Sleeve Hoodie and Long Sleeve Top, built with a relaxed fit for versatile use and made of high-quality merino fiber. Completing the capsule are Merino Pants, 100% merino heavyweight pants with a unisex fit, Merino Cap and Scarf.
The collabo is on sale online at Goldwin and Icebreaker stores, at the Goldwin store in Munich, at Selfridges, LuisaViaRoma and Breuninger.
