Goldwin's art of layering

Goldwin's newly launched FW22 collection combines outdoor functionality with Japanese design and rewrites the codes of layering, building sophisticated and unexpected styling. The use of sustainable materials grows significantly: down, nylon, recycled polyester but also a new Marine plastic insulation padding. The FW22 look book was created by Spanish photographer Alex Cascallana, with hyper-realistic images highlighting the functional aesthetics of layering. The Outdoor range is designed to provide maximum comfort in various situations.

The drop focuses on a wide range of outerwear that fuses new design elements with cutting-edge fabrics and production techniques, allowing for the most diverse forms of layerig. The range includes shells using Gore-Tex that are built for high altitude and maximum performance, a range of lightweight down jackets with green Primaloft Black Eco padding that can be used as mid layers or standalone, and heavyweight down jackets in Pertex Quantum and Gore-tex Infinium that combine warmth and lightness for the deepest winter. This part of the collection draws on decades of archives of technical expertise in extreme and outdoor sports, and channels it into minimalist pieces that can be worn in a variety of situations, from the extreme outdoors to the city. The Lifestyle collection presents the perfect blend of simple, timeless design with a sophisticated color palette and the best outdoor technologies, alpine performance for the evolution of everyday clothing.

Technical materials are used for a range of cutting-edge urban outerwear: highlights include the Gore-Tex down jacket with super-warm Kodenshi down thanks to infrared rays and the Puffy series in Gore-tex Infinium, with a new recycled Marine plastic insulation, an environmentally friendly polyester created from plastic waste collected by local people on beaches in the Philippines and Indonesia. The Athletic collection features technical products designed for all types of running, ensuring maximum lightness and comfort. The line includes the Light Warmer Jacket, made with Pertex Quantum Air, which is lightweight, durable and breathable, built for running and training in cold climates, revamped Compression Long Tights, made with a new sewing technique that reduces chafing, and use only recycled nylon to reduce environmental impact.
