February 15th, 2018
For the occasion of the highly anticipated All Star weekend, which will be held this year in Los Angeles in the well-known Staples Center, home of the LA Lakers, Jerry Lorenzo has decided to revisit his 1987 Basketball Sneaker proposing different colors, for the accuracy five. As evidenced also by an IG story in these days, the Founder of Fear of God, shows us where he got his inspiration for the creation of these sneakers in different colors, showing us a photo of Danny Ainge, an ex player for Boston Celtics, currently the company's General Manager.
The five sneakers will be available in five different colors:
-Paris Gray Sky/Black, color that is undoubtedly reminiscent of the famous Air Jordan 1 "Shadow", which will be released again this April 2018.
-White/Black/Varsity Red, which recalls the colors of the Air Jordan 1 "Black Toe", very popular and refined color.
-Black/Royal, color that refers to the no doubt known and loved Air Jordan 1 "Royal".
-White/Varsity Red / Black, which reflect the colors of the Air Jordan 1 "Chicago", one of the most famous and sought-after colors by Jordan lovers.
-Black/Varsity Red, very famous color for the Air Jordan 1 "Bred", one of the most wanted colors by the Jordan fans, as well as one of Jerry Lorenzo's favorite sneakers, worn by him several times.
Rumors say each color will have its own exclusive retailer in the Los Angeles area starting today, February 15th. The "Paris Gray Sky" coloring will be available at the Maxfield store on Melrose Ave, the "White/Black/Varsity Red" color can be found at Union LA, the "Black/Royal" combo will be available at Barneys in Beverly Hills. The remaining colors, "White/Varsity Red/Black" and "Black/Varsity Red" will be available in the 424 fairfax store and at RSVP gallery LA.
It is estimated that the price for sneakers can be around €795, as for the other colors already released previously.
