Jerry Lorenzo will sign the collaboration between adidas and Prada

The founder of Fear of God has, in fact, tried to give us a sneak peek of the Prada x adidas collaboration by Jerry Lorenzo through his Instagram profile, accompanying a post with the caption: «...new projects for '25 becoming realized...», leading us to imagine that, in all likelihood, the collection may be released at some point around 2025. What the designer's post hints at is that the collection's centerpiece could be a sneaker, with the only aesthetic details provided by Jerry Lorenzo being an insole with the raised inscription "Prada x adidas by Jerry Lorenzo" and a futuristic outsole marked by the iconic Linea Rossa detail. Given the involvement of the three parties, we might also expect accessories, apparel, collectibles, and much more within the collection. adidas may have finally considered the idea of moving beyond its own past, opting for Jerry Lorenzo as the successor to Ye.

His legacy may have made the difference in this choice: just like Ye, Lorenzo has taken the most significant steps in his fashion career by playing his cards right, focusing on sportswear and athletic wear, especially sneakers. Despite adidas pushing strongly in the sneaker market thanks to the considerable success of heritage models like Samba, Gazelle, Spezial, and the like, they strongly need to find a personality capable of achieving the same feat as Ye. If the responsibility for this choice falls on Jerry Lorenzo, he will have to do a great job to try to match his colleague, who, controversies aside, has set the trends of the last decade.
