Hiking with New Balance & One Block Down on the Como's Lake

On the Lombard Pre-Alps overlooking Lake Como, New Balance and One Block Down invited the editors of nss magazine for a mountain test of the New Balance 850, in the lifestyle and All Terrain versions.
The trails of Monte Barro immersed in a fog that only occasionally discovered the spectacle of the mountains that plunge into Lake Como, were an excellent test bench for testing the qualities of the 850 AT hybrid sneaker, suitable for both outdoor activities and to the urban context.
The lifestyle version takes up the classic New Balance style, balancing a daddy silhouette with a “chunky” sneaker and a “low profile” model where premium and color-block materials are the masters. The All-Terrain version of the sneaker has a technical aesthetic with a lifestyle soul: it is a shoe that can be easily worn in the dirt thanks to a Fresh Foam cushioning midsole and resistant Vibram® sole. Its design takes inspiration from the original 850 silhouette and features a breathable mesh upper with nylon fabric parts, lateral NB logo on the heel and unique lacing details.

The 850 is available as a preview starting today from Milan's One Block Down and oneblockdown.com at a price of 120 euros, while it will be available starting February 1, 2020 at New Balance stores and selected retailers.
