The winners of the 2021 edition of Berlin Commercial, one of the most important festivals dedicated to experimental cinema in Europe, which ended on August 14th, have been announced.
The international jury of this year's edition included more than 40 high-profile creatives from national and international creative agencies and production companies. Among the titles of the festival, BODY, the film written and directed by Tommaso Ottomano, initially published on the OnlyFans profile of nss magazine on the occasion of the N05 digital cover, was awarded as the best title in the Experimental category, also entering the Top 10 of categories such as Casting, Cultural Impact, Idea, Direction, Cinematography, Editing and Use of Sound & Music. Other winners include the music video by Rone and the collective (LA)HORDE for the song Room With a View, which won in the categories Best Music Video, Direction, Idea, Cinematography, Editing; the commercials of Klarna, Marshall headphones and Toyota, which won for best director; while the winners from the fashion world were the streetwear brand Pressure, awarded for best photography and production design with the video Pressure: The Countless Faces of Chaos; Burberry who won in the VFX/Animation category for Festive and Balenciaga awarded for Use of Sound &Music for the video Live to Love.
The short film produced by nss factory deals with the theme of sexual identity and the dichotomy between natural purity, body positivity and artificial control, as well as the possibility of modifying it by adapting it to personal desires by exploring the relationship between psychological and physical identity, through the stories and bodies of Elettra, Antonio, Sara, Lolita, Numa, Moussa and Mari, movies both dressed and naked. Protagonist of nss magazine's Digital Cover N.05, BODY was also the first content of an Italian media company to be published on OnlyFans, as a demonstration of the potential that the new platform for NSFW content contains for independent publishing publications, as Filippo D'Asaro, editor-in-chief of nss magazine, explained last February on the occasion of the publication of the short.
