David Bowie: “The Last Five Years”
Here the trailer of the new documentary produced by HBO
December 14th, 2017
January 8, 2018 would have been the seventy-first birthday of David Bowie.
On this important date will be released The Last Five Years, a new documentary about the artist produced by HBO.
As the title anticipates, this work will focus on the realization of the last two albums, The Next Day and Blackstar, as well as on his musical Lazarus.
The project will include interviews with some of his closest friends and collaborators, from Tony Visconti to Gail Ann Dorsey, from Catherine Russel to Maria Schneider and Robert Fox, but also the voice of the same Duca Bianco who, despite the disease has continued to write and to record.
At the end of the documentary, is David himself who explains his artistic philosophy:
"Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom; you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting".
Below is the trailer for The Last Five Years, a documentary that will, once again, consecrate Bowie as one of the greatest icons of the music world.
