November 19th, 2018
Club To Club festival stands unrivaled on local ground in programming the best of experimental pop and electronic music. As always, this year festival was an eclectic mix of many boundary-pushing genres and new styles of music. In a time where technological advancements have meant almost anyone can hear anything, anywhere, and try their hands on producing, this great democratization of availability has also meant hearing something truly original nowadays becomes harder and harder. Enter Dj Nigga Fox, with roots in Angola and grown up in the suburbs outside of Lisbon, this particular mix of African rhythms and Portuguese cityscapes has led to the birth of a unique and original style of music that feels very personal. Releasing on the legendary Warp Records label earlier this year and getting the coveted warm-up slot before Aphex Twin at the festival, we sat down, by a jacuzzi no less, for an interview to find out more about one of Club To Club festivals most singular talents.
