"Monica", the video by M¥SS KETA, is out
The tribute to Monica Bellucci directed by Simone Rovellini is a pot full of pop references
July 5th, 2018
M¥SS KETA is back.
The artist with a mysterious identity, her irony, energy, and freedom take shape in the video Monica, the fourth single from Una Vita in Capslock published last April.
"Every day, everywhere, everyone calls me ... Monica!" Sings the girl, surrounded by gossiping hairdresser, greedy bankers and shows stars in her adoration, recalling, with a new look the blackberry phone, the Bellucci of Malena and of The Mythical - Hunchback Shot in Milan.
The images directed by Simone Rovellini, among countless changes of clothes, surreal situations and scenography of Gio Pastori is dominated by a queer aesthetic, and a high concentration of pop references: from Pedro Almodovar to the Italian comedy, from Andy Warhol to Gustave Coubert.
In addition to the crew of the Girls of Porta Venezia (Miuccia Panda, La Iban, La ChaCha and La Prada), the video features the participation of Daphne Tarantula and La Manu, who also lend their voices in the song, and two exceptional guest stars like Elodie and Joan Thiele, in the role of the femme fatale.
The word of order is only one: absolute freedom.
