It will be curious to discover how and if it will be used

Among the persistent rumors regarding a release party in Campovolo and the numerous paparazzi shots in Florence, Milan, and Venice, Ye apparently spent his free time choosing to register a new trademark. It goes by the name YEWS, which is a clear play on words between "Ye" (his new name) and "Jews." Specifically, according to reports from the international press, the rapper has filed a total of 26 trademark registration requests for YEWS, spanning various sectors including clothing, education, hospitality, cosmetics, gambling, advertising, and much more.

The filings, made on October 2, indicate Kanye seeks to own the "YEWS" trademark for:
- Clothing

Ye's choice inevitably follows the controversial anti-Semitic outbursts and subsequent accusations that befell him in 2022, contributing to his downfall. With the registration of YEWS, it is not yet clear whether Kanye's goal is to exacerbate the issue or to turn a new leaf, seeking a path to redemption. His statements from 12 months ago severely damaged his reputation with many companies, including adidas and Skechers, which now view him unfavorably.
If many partners - former or potential - have closed their doors to Ye, he has decided to go it alone. We can speculate that the YEWS project aims to achieve entrepreneurial success in a predominantly independent manner, at least without relying on assistance from international companies. It is challenging to predict the feasibility of this project, but Kanye West's history inevitably leads us to believe that he can succeed once again.
