'The Day of My Death'
Gosha Rubchinskiy's debut film
June 16th, 2016
Designer, photographer, today also film-maker. In conjunction with his fashion show during Pitti Uomo 90, Gosha Rubchinskiy has released his first short film: The Day Of My Death.
The title suggests the melancholic atmospheres that characterise it: black and white, cold, it features themes as violence, sexuality, politics and religion, and is inspired by the work of the controversial genius of Italian cinema Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Directed by Renata Litvinova, the 17-minute video has as protagonists all the members of the Gosha-gang: stylist Lotta Volkova, Litvinova and her daughter Uliana Dobrovskaya, models Lousion and Titouan Savignoni (already protagonists of the brand’s SS16 look book) and Gosha himself, with a brief cameo in the role of a Russian soldier.
The ingredients for a Hitchcockian thriller are all there. You can watch it here:
