Festival de Mode et Photographie de Hyères 2016
From April 21 to 25
April 21st, 2016
Every spring, the south of France becomes the epicentre where some of the most promising emerging talents of the fashion and photography industry meet for Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival.
Since 1998, this small village on the French Riviera is invaded by designers, artists, curious and fashionistas. More than 300 applications received from 53 different countries, 10 candidates for the final competition, 2 sections (fashion and photography), and as many presidents, respectively Julien Dossena and William Klein, who lead a panel of experts working together to decide what the future of these categories will be.
Between workshops, meetings, concerts, showcases and exhibitions, the offering is wide. Hyères brings us back to the ‘60s with a tribute to Paco Rabanne and a special projection of 1966 fashion movie Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?. Not enough? There’s the Chanel Métiers d'Art laboratory and the exhibition The Ephemera of Fashion with catalogs from the 70s to today of Houses such as Versace, Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto and Dries Van Noten.
Save the date: April 21 to 25 at Hyères International Festival.
