Proenza Schouler Restort Collection 2015
beachy and athletic
June 13th, 2014
California, surf, skate and art.
There is all this and much more in the resort collection of Proenza Schouler, presented together with the debut of the first line of beachwear. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez take masculine forms and cuts, deconstruct and transform them into silk georgette blouses, asymmetrical skirts, maxi coat, above the knee dresses, tunics and track pants, declined in Asian mood, wearing strictly with one hand in the pocket and the other holding the bag. Graphics, colorblocking inspired by the works of Ellsworth Kelly, prints taken by the paintings of Clyfford Still are brought to life by the colors' choice. Black, white, red, green, yellow and gray light a collection that McCollough and Hernandez define "beachy and athletic" and projecting Proenza Schouler towards a more soft and relaxed style.
