Bata shoe museum - Out of the box

Le sneaker sono parte integrante della nostra quotidianità, non più confinate a essere solo "scarpe del tempo libero", sono diventate simbolo di appartenenza a una vera e propria tribù. Da qui nasce "Out of the box", mostra al Bata shoe Museum di Toronto che racconta la storia delle scarpe da ginnastica.

Che tu sia un appassionato di sneaker storiche o delle ultime uscite in collaborazione con gli stilisti più cool del momento non potrà non piacerti questa mostra, perché comprende il fenomeno sneaker nel senso più ampio del termine.

L'esposizione è un vero e proprio paradiso delle scarpe, circondate da luci e colori, uno spazio sospeso tra presente e passato, progettato dall'industrial designer Karim Rashid. Una documentazione a 360° gradi che racconta l'ascesa della scarpa preferita da tutti, un viaggio attraverso il periodo in cui i grandi brand hanno dato il meglio della loro creatività in materia.

Come la storia ci insegna, negli ultimi trent'anni la sinergia tra cultura urbana, musica e basket  ha alimentato il mito delle sneaker, elevandole allo status di oggetto indispensabile in tutti i guardaroba maschili e femminili, diventando l'oggetto del desiderio di molti collezionisti che arrivano a contarne "qualche migliaio di paia".

The sneakers are part of our everyday life, now cleared by the term "leisure shoes" they've become the symbol of belonging to a real tribe. Here comes "Out of the box", at Bata's shoe Museum in Toronto, that tells the history of sneakers.
