
Les Deux and Yale launch a new collaboration together with Zalando
Preppy aesthetic meets Danish design

The Danish brand Les Deux returns to collaborate with Yale University for a second collection, this time in partnership with Zalando for an exceptional co-curation. The new capsule, titled Les Deux With Yale, blends the classic American college style with the relaxed aesthetic of ‘90s streetwear, offering a selection of unisex pieces and a line dedicated to children. After the success of the first release with Yale, Les Deux returns with a new interpretation of the preppy-meets-street style. While the first collection emphasized a more traditional preppy vibe, this new offering is enriched with a sportier and more urban energy. The brand’s signature duality comes to life in the fusion of timeless Ivy League elegance and the laid-back attitude of the golden age of streetwear. The launch campaign reflects this same stylistic fusion, set in a minimalist studio that echoes the clean and refined aesthetics of ‘90s fashion advertisements. With this visual language, Les Deux successfully merges nostalgia and modernity, creating a collection that seamlessly fits into the contemporary fashion landscape.

At the heart of the collection are pieces such as the technical nylon varsity jacket, which evokes the classic American university look, while the knitted vest and denim set add a casual yet refined touch. The collection’s design draws strong inspiration from Yale’s visual identity. The university’s iconic hollow font lettering takes center stage, accompanied by graphic prints of Handsome Dan, Yale’s famous bulldog mascot. To further enhance the vintage sports aesthetic, varsity details and fine pinstripes are featured, while ‘90s urban influences emerge through oversized volumes, breathable mesh tank tops, and relaxed cuts. The carefully curated color palette plays with neutral tones accented by Ivy League green and vibrant touches of golden yellow, striking the perfect balance between elegance and freshness. Mathias H. Jensen, Creative Director of Les Deux, explains the concept behind this second collaboration: «Preppy and streetwear are part of our history as a brand, so with this collection, we wanted to explore the history of both. Yale is one of the original pillars of collegiate style, so we paired that American authenticity with the oversized streetwear cuts of the ‘90s».
The official launch of Les Deux With Yale is set for February 21st, available exclusively through Les Deux channels and the Zalando platform across 25 markets.
