Peter Pilotto FW 2012 Collection

Peter Pilotto forma con il co - designer Christopher de Vos il brand Peter Pilotto. Metà italiano, metà austriaco il primo e il secondo di origine belga e peruviana, si conoscono alla Royal Academy of Fine Arts di Antwerp nel 2000. Presto raccolgono il consenso di pubblico e critica, tanto da venir celebrati recentemente come guest designer al Pitti di Firenze. Diventano famosi per lo stile iper femminile e l’uso di stampe originali e dai colori brillanti. La loro proposta per questa stagione fredda è fedele alla loro fama: stampe visionarie, mix unico di geometrie, palette accesa, tessuti opulenti: velluto, pelliccia, pelle.

La collezione, ispirata dalle donne asiatiche, è una celebrazione del corpo femminile che sottolinea la silhouette  ed esalta le forme, ideale per una donna che vuole apparire sexy, ma chic. Gli abiti sono aderenti, scultorei: pantaloni slim, pencil skirts e cocktail dresses appena sopra il ginocchio. Interessanti sono gli intrecci che caratterizzano la parte superiori della figura, ma ancora di  più le stampe. Sono grafismi geometrici,che ricoprono anche i piumini, declinati in blu scuro ed elettrico, giallo e verde fluo e rosso. Peter Pilotto è un marchio per donne decise, sexy, che amano catturare l’attenzione, senza scadere nella volgarità.

The first half Italian, half Austrian and the second, of Belgian and of Peruvian origin, met each other at Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 2000. Soon they get so much consent by the public and by the critics,  to be celebrated, recently, as guest designer at Pitti in Florence. They become famous for the hyper feminine style and for the use of original a shiny prints.

Their this cold season proposition is faithful to their fame: visionary prints, unique mix of geometries, bright palette, opulent fabrics: velvet, fur, leather. The collection takes inspiration from Asian women, it’s a celebration of feminine body and glorify the shapes, ideal for a woman who wants to appear sexy, but chic. The clothes are tight, sculptural: slim pants, pencil skirts and cocktail dresses just above the knee. The intertwining, which characterize superior part of the shape,  is interesting, but the prints are more appealing. They are geometric graphemes, that covers the puffer jackets too, declined in deep and electric blue, fluorescent yellow and green, red. Peter Pilotto is a brand for determined, sexy women, who loves to capture the attention, without being vulgar.
