Sergio Tacchini,Italian streetwear icon, is ready to rewrite sneaker culture with its new line-up for the FW23 season. Building on the success of the previous season's "Livello Rosso" series, the brand introduces a new generation of sneakers that marry street elegance and technical performance, while staying true to its long-standing translation of performance-oriented design. The collection takes both iconic models signed by the brand in decades past, updated for the needs of a contemporary lifestyle; and of more innovative models, inspired by Y2K sneakers and more performance-oriented.
The first of Sergio Tacchini's classic-inspired designs is a tribute to the brand's tennis tradition: the COURT CLASSIC MP. This silhouette combines iconic tennis court-inspired designs with a distinctly modern air, evoking the spirit of the 1980s, when Sergio Tacchini dominated the sporstswear arena. But the vintage-inspired designs also include the evolution of the 70's NEO RUNNER, which combines silky suede with durable Ripstop nylon in fall-inspired colors, versatile in its nature as a silhouette with a classic and elegant yet ultra-durable feel, and the two BB COURT LO and the BB COURT HI, which make their return to the collection as timeless classics with a twist. The BB COURT LO is made of premium suede and leather, with vibrant accents of Tibetan red and Pacific turquoise, while the BB COURT HI features a more subdued color palette with tranquil grays and navy blue.
For those who appreciate the art of maximalist design, however, the new Y2K RUNNER is a perfect choice. The two new Y2K-inspired sneakers featured in the new line-up both share a voluminous structure and a host of technical details that make them the perfect choice for all performance enthusiasts. Between rich textures inspired by models from the early 2000s, intricate detailing, and numerous technical details such as reflective accents on the heel, the Y2K RUNNER is the chunkiest and most structured model in the entire collection. However, there is another interpretation designed for sneaker enthusiasts with a more distinctly technical and performance-oriented look: the Y2K TRAIL RUNNER is an exceptional choice. Made with a handcrafted California Reverse construction and a durable Ripstop nylon upper, this shoe is designed to withstand all environmental conditions, both in and out of town. Seamless TPU pattern supports provide total added durability, reinforced by the waterproof membrane.
