May 12th, 2023
The International Talent Support launches its new edition. The long journey that began in 2002 continues with the mission to catch the most interesting creative talents from around the world. The competition, which runs from 10 May 2023, is open to aspiring designers and students enrolled in fashion, accessories and jewellery worldwide. The closing date for entries is 10 September 2023 and finalists will be announced in November 2023. You can enter by submitting a fashion, accessories or jewellery collection. All entrants can also participate in the ITS Artwork Award in collaboration with Swatch Art Peace Hotel, which evaluates the potential of entrants based on their portfolios, the ITS Special Mention powered by Vogue Eyewear part of EssilorLuxottica, the ITS Sportswear Award powered by Lotto Sport and the ITS Digital Fashion Award dedicated to projects for the digital world.
In over twenty years, the ITS competition has identified the emerging creatives who have changed the world of contemporary fashion. Many of them now work in major fashion houses or have founded their own highly successful eponymous brands, including Demna, Matthieu Blazy and Richard Quinn. He has succeeded in creating an authentic global community, a borderless and transversal network of fashion designers, journalists, teachers and observers, including some of the most important and influential personalities from the world of art and design.
This long journey marks the birth of ITS Arcademy - Museum of Art in Fashion, the first museum of contemporary fashion in Italy, which opened in Trieste on 18 April and will host the finalists of the ITS Contest for a week-long residency where they can develop their artistic projects under the supervision of industry experts and previous finalists. Over the past two decades, the ITS Arcademy has amassed and preserved a unique collection: 14,758 portfolios, 1,089 dresses, 163 accessories, 118 pieces of jewellery and over 700 photographic works. A very rare creative heritage, as it consists of the first works of the members and finalists of the twenty-year history of the ITS competition, which is constantly evolving. New projects will further enrich this invaluable heritage.
