ITS Foundation announces a new edition of ITS Contest
A museum and a residency to showcase the designers of tomorrow
November 11th, 2024
ITS Foundation is preparing for a new edition of the ITS Contest, a competition held in Trieste dedicated to emerging fashion and boundless creativity. In a world where barriers are often perceived as divisions, ITS seeks to transform them into points of connection, inviting discovery and openness towards others through a program filled with exhibitions, training, and creative events. The title guiding the upcoming contest will be "Borderless," a project that celebrates culture, diversity, and its intrinsic value. The twenty-second edition of the ITS Contest, a platform that has nearly nine hundred participants from seventy-five different countries and has hosted groundbreaking names in the fashion industry like Demna and Matthieu Blazy on its jury and among its candidates, will culminate in March 2025 with a creative residency in Trieste to reward the talent and vision of young international creatives. Ten selected finalists will embark on a journey of coaching and immersive workshops, enriching their creative experience alongside leading industry experts.
Alongside the Contest, ITS Foundation will also unveil the new curatorship of ITS Arcademy, Italy's first museum of contemporary art and fashion. The museum spaces will become a center of innovation and cultural fusion with the exhibition "Fashionlands: Clothes Beyond Borders," curated by Olivier Saillard and philosopher Emanuele Coccia. Starting on March 27, 2025, the exhibition will celebrate the power of fashion as a universal language, showcasing works from twenty-five emerging designers to highlight clothing’s ability to redefine boundaries between cultures and people. Concurrently, an urban photographic installation by Massimo Gardone will transform the streets of Trieste into an open-air exhibition space, while the project "ITS GO! 2025 Borderless for FVG Schools" will give space to students from local fashion schools. Once again next year, ITS Foundation is committed to supporting the fashion of the future and celebrating creative innovation, this time under a “borderless” vision where art and fashion engage with the entire world.
