KAWS brings art into Fortnite
Four in-game skins for the debut of meta-art in the game Epid Games

The world of Fortnite continues to expand, and after the Balenciaga collab, Epic Games' battle royale game has chosen KAWS as the star of its new collab. Some of the figures created by Brian Donnelly have been chosen to become skins that can be used in game, further expanding the boundaries of a game that in recent months has seen the arrival of collbos from all types of media.
The KAWS Skeleton, available in four different variants, is just the latest in a long line of skins and collectables from worlds seemingly only distant from Fortnite's, but able to open new doors and give rise to new ideas about what the future of the game will be. If with Balenciaga we talked about metafashion, with the arrival of one of the greatest exponents of street art in recent years, but above all one of the few able to constantly dialogue with fashion, we could be in front of the debut of meta-art.
Epic Games' intentions are now clear for all to see, and if initially Fortnite was seen as a simple Battle Royal solely for the benefit of online gaming fans, in recent years the game has moved away from its original audience, becoming more and more a living world capable of accommodating any kind of suggestion, slowly turning into a mirror of pop society.
