The new ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-AURANIA™

The long collaboration between Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS continues with the release of the first women's sneaker of the SS20 season, the ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-AURANIA™.

The sneaker looks like a hybrid model, reinterpreting the aesthetics and technical performance of some of the most innovative models in the ASICS archive by placing them under the sign of the ASICS Spiral Logo. ASICS x Kiko Kostadinov GEL-AURANIA™ is scheduled for release on April 24th.

The inspiration behind the look of the new women's sneaker is the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM INFINITY™ JIN and SKYSENSOR SLASH JJ models, two sneakers originally designed for the race. The GEL-QUANTUM technology is replicated in the GEL component™ placed in the sole, at the heel, to cushion the bumps and provide greater stability, while SKYSENSOR uses the curved cut lacing system, which can be tightened even with one hand – a reference to the aesthetics of Kostadinonov's SS20 women's apparel collection, characterized by graphics and curved lines. The GEL-AURANIA™ will be available in two colourways, one black and green and the other in shades of brown and red.
