The brand has pledged to give 10,000 pairs a day to professionals fighting against the Coronavirus

The fashion world is increasingly involved in the fight against the Coronavirus. Following LVMH and L'Oréal who are using their production facilities to produce bottles of hand disinfectant to be sent to hospitals and pharmacies in France or H&M and Zara who have made their supply chains available to create and distribute protective clothing for workers, even Crocs is doing its part. The brand has announced that it will donate 10,000 pairs a day of its famous rubber clogs to US healthcare workers. Crocs CEO, Andrew Rees, explained the reason for the decision:
Over the past week, we have spoken to healthcare workers, their facilities and even their family and friends, and they have specifically asked for our shoes in an effort to provide ease on their feet, as well as ease of mind as they need the ability to easily clean up before they go home to their families.
Nowadays when everyone, and in particular hospital workers, are trying to take any safety precautions to contain the spread of coronavirus, shoes that are easy to clean like Crocs, which, being made of a polymeric resin moulded like rubber, are waterproof, is a great plus.
