Stone Island unveils Garment Dyed Leather/Dyneema collection
The line has been launched in partnership with ECCO®
October 16th, 2019
After the launch of the Paintball Camo's collection, Stone Island's autumn-winter collection has been enriched with another piece. The combination of Stone Island's experience in garment dyeing techniques and ECCO®'s state-of-the-art leather tanning and shoe making technology gave birth to a new line of footwear and clothing that is the result of this collaboration.
For the boots, the initial stage of the process is exclusive to ECCO®, which through the Fluidform® process transforms the Phorene® liquid shock absorber into a sole with a precise anatomical profile, melting it directly with the leather upper when the liquid dries. In the second production phase, on the other hand, Stone Island uses the typical high-temperature garment dyeing process to complete the production stage. The Stone Island Compass logo returns on prosthesis on the heel. The second piece in the collection is the reversible vest, which can be worn by exposing the leather side with reflective fabric patches on the outside or the Dyneema® non-woven fabric side (light and particularly resistant fibre), featuring a series of diagonal velcro straps and automatic fasteners to attach up to four Naslan pockets. Inside, the garment features a second detachable vest padded with Naslan Light, which can be worn alone, with similar diagonal straps to attach the pockets.
The entire collection is already available on the Stone Island website.
