The last part of the "Hardcore Soul" project
July 24th, 2019
Gabber Eleganza, Alberto Guerrini's project born in 2001 as an online archive dedicated to rave culture continues to expand. First the series of live performances and DJ sets, then the label Never Sleep with the eponymous EP and last May the publication of "Hardcore Soul". The project born from Guerrini's meeting with photographer Ewen Spencer and Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey, who compares the Hardcore-Gabber and British Northern Soul scene, now becomes the inspiration for a series of merchandise. There are t-shirts featuring some of the images in the book, the ones dedicated to the legendary British record stores of the 90s such as Wax City, to the Pure Pleasure party and to Never Sleep. Not just clothing, Gabber Eleganza's shop also offers mixtapes and an exclusive interview with Mark Leckey.
