The singer, author and director Ama Lou, the Iranian-born menswear designer Paria Farzaneh, the singer and skater Lava La Rue, the designer Feng Chen Wang. They are the protagonists of Spark Progress, Converse's latest project for women's empowerment. The US brand follows this five girls from the London creative community in the everyday life, using their stories to inspire other women that, like them, want to realize their dreams.

The talents, wearing the iconic Chuck Taylor, are filmed in their routine by the Converse's camera, from the bedrooms of West London to the studios of East London and the roofs of Peckham, telling how they have achieved success in their respective fields, amid ambitions, trials, tension, anger, failures and joys. As Lava La Rue says:

“I’ve had a lot of things that have meant I’ve had to work 5 times harder, but I constantly make sure that it isn’t something that defines or hinders my progress but rather something that is part of my identity.”

Not just a short video, therefore, but a look at the ups and downs of being a creative young woman trying to make her mark in the city, embodied by the film's mantra: "while others are busy deciding our future, we're busy making our own.
