Moncler Genius drop its final collection for this year
Returning to where it started with Hiroshi Fujiwara
December 6th, 2018
It’s been a rather amazing year for Moncler, centered around its innovative Genius Project which has over the summer, fall and winter seen 7 designers create a unique capsule collection each. It all started with Hiroshi Fujiwara, who is considered a godfather of streetwear, whom we had the exclusive chance to interview in June at the Firenze release event and then continued with Kei Ninomiya, Craig Green, 1952, Simone Rocha, Palm Angles, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Grenoble. It feels only fitting to return to where we started with Fuijwara bringing this year's project full circle by delivering a fresh new line for Moncler shone through his unique lens.
Combining the legacy of Moncler with Fragment’s inimitable design DNA, the collection riffs on a slew of Moncler styles, recalibrated in Fujiwara’s iconic Japanese-Americana aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from the global appeal of Moncler, the collection is a masterful collision of ultimate luxury and new-wave streetwear sensibility. Consisting of more pieces and winter attire this time, the collection range is a full wardrobe of down jackets, tops, t’s, pants, shoes, and accessories. Though it is the last of this year, we can report that the Genius project will continue in 2019 with new collections coming from some of the protagonists of this year project, stay tuned to nss as we will reveal more details about that soon.
The Moncler Genius Fragment collection is available now via Moncler online and their flagship stores worldwide. Check out some out our favorite pieces above.
