The North Face x Kazuki Kuraishi 'Black Series' collection
Outdoor heritage meets contemporary Japanese design
September 11th, 2018
After the announcement, a few weeks ago, the pictures of the whole Kazuki Kuraishi x The North Face collaboration have now come in. Japenese designer Kazuki Kuraishi, who has worked for BAPE and freelanced with fragment design before launching his own label The Fourness in 2014, has collaborated with a number of brands, among them adidas Originals and NEIGHBORHOOD. Called ‘Black Series’ the range consists mainly of a number of different tech-infused jackets in black and green earth tones, as well as a pair of pants and a t-shirt. GORE-TEX-lined parkas feature detachable bags and lots of adjustable straps. Functionality is key to the range, with packable outerwear reinforced by Primaloft and Pertex detailing for extra weather resistance.
A wider release date is still tbc, but the first items are available on The North Face Black Series’s site now.
