Re:squad Tokyo SS18 collection
Japanese utility vibe
May 22nd, 2018
Last summer while roaming around Harajuku in Tokyo I stumbled upon the boutique Tokyo brand, Re:squad, instantly drawn to their aesthetic, and use of microfiber polyester fabrics that move sweat away from the body, same as dry-fit is made of, and small functional details like hidden pockets on t-shirts, made me cop a piece on a whim.
While other technical brands take inspiration from the military or more heavy duty utilitarian activities such as that of SWAT teams, Re:squad draws inspiration from slightly more regular service departments, like firefighters and emergency medical services. Having collections almost completely in white and black, with vector graphics, and only the occasional spec of color, their brand comes with a selection of clean-cut pieces, with a sprinkle of tech and that undefinable Japanese touch, that merits an eye being kept on their developments for sure. Recently dropping their SS18 collection including T’s, jackets, bags, and caps, check out Re:squad for our under the radar tip, from nss to you!
