The next NYFW will be a day shorter
The decision comes directly from the Council of Fashion Designers of America
April 19th, 2017
The New York Fashion Week in September will lose a day.
The news was communicated directly by the CFDA: the New York Fashion Week will start on September 7 and will end on 13 with Marc Jacobs.
Most likely the decision is due to the many defections of top names from the schedule like Tommy Hilfiger o Rodarte and Proenza Schouler who opted for Paris but also based on the feedback of the press and retailers, that think eight days of shows were too long and expensive.
See you on September 7 with Calvin Klein and Tom Ford who will open the American Fashion Week.
