The Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris changes look. It does so thanks to Observatory of Light, a project developed specifically for the structure by Daniel Buren.
The French conceptual artist has covered the iconic ‘sails’ of the building with 3,600 pieces of glass in 13 different colours, all particularly bright, which change depending on the light. The effect is that of a psychedelic conglomerate, in contrast with the bucolic landscape of the Jardin d'Acclimatation which surrounds it.
The project will be accompanied by three special performances curated by the BurenCirque titled 3 Times a Hut, which will take place on June 3,4 and 5, 2016.
