The making of Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris
On display in Venice
May 12th, 2016
What lies behind the design of one of the most iconic (and modern) buildings in Paris?
This is what Louis Vuitton has decided to investigate through Fondation Louis Vuitton Building in Paris by Frank Gehry, with the intervention of Daniel Buren, an exhibition to be held at the Louis Vuitton Space in Venice from May 27 to November 26, 2016.
Inaugurated on October 27, 2014, the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris was designed by Canadian architect Frank Gehry, and is today a reference for French and international contemporary art.
The exhibition, designed by Gehry Partners specifically for the Louis Vuitton Space in Venice, will offer a selection of scale models that trace the study of various aspects of the building: integration to the site, architectural program, project design, interior space and glass sails.
From May 2016 the Venetian space will become a satellite of the Foundation, sharing with the latter contents, works and cultural and artistic themes of future exhibitions.
