1968 Radical Italian Furniture
The latest project by Cattelan & Ferrari
April 17th, 2014
He announced his retirement from the art world in 2011 with a retrospective at the Guggenheim in New York, but since then, Master Cattelan has churned out (lucky us!) a project after another, as well as a highly successful advertising campaign for Kenzo.
His faithful companion of snacks, the photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari, follows the genius and inspiration of the creative even in the last project, a tribute to Italian design in the late '60s.
1968: Radical Italian Furniture is the work that gathers the shots of the formidable duo proposing a caravanserai of objects and furnishings from all the studies that have shaped the history Italian design, from Archizoom, to Superstudio, to Mendini. A roundup of dreams and nightmares, a compendium of color, humor and provocation that will surely become part of our small library.
