God Save The Teens: Nick Leonard - Vintage Las Vegas

Nick Leonard, ha 19 anni nato e cresciuto a Las Vegas dove nel 2008 inizia scattare foto con Polaroid. Colleziona macchine fotografiche analogiche che sono la sua grande passione; Nick infatti ha scelto di non utilizzare forme digitali di manipolazione della foto, di non lavorare con l’editing e di non utilizzare photoshop o altri programmi similari. La foto nella sua dimensione più originale è la sua forma preferita di espressione. Le sue Polaroid di Las Vegas ci riportano in luoghi e tempi diversi; atmosfere retró, richiami agli anni ’70 con un gusto originale e uno stile particolare. Nick adora il vintage dai vestiti all’architettura e tenta di fermare l’attimo immortalando direttamente in strada passanti, cartelli di Motel e Casinò, manichini in vetrina, animali… Nei suoi scatti ritroviamo anche alcune icone Pop e celebrità dei Red Carpet come come Dita Von Teese, Lady Gaga, Courtney Love o Mike Tyson.

Nick Leonard, born and raised in Las Vegas, is an 19 year old Polaroid photographer. He began to shoot 'roids in 2008. He has a big collection of analog cameras. In fact, Nick has chosen the true analog photography without the use of apps, photoshop or editing. Nick's photos take you back to a simpler time and place. His Polaroids show us Las Vegas with a retro atmosphere, references to the 70s with an original taste and unique style. He loves everything that is vintage, clothes, architecture, roadside signage. He finds the things he loves to photograph on the street, in old american Motels and in the Casinó´s of Las Vegas. By the time, Nick began to capture immages of many other things, including animals, flowers and portraits. In his shots we also find some Pop icons and celebrities of the Red Carpet like Dita Von Teese, Lady Gaga, Courtney Love or Mike Tyson.
