Humanae by Angelica Dass
The shades of human skin cataloged according to Pantone
May 9th, 2017
Humanae is the photographic project by the artist Angelica Dass. A journey to the discovery of an identity, of an ethnicity, of its roots, but probably, above all of its essence. The Brazilian photographer has dug into the soul of his models by offering them a new look for them as well. The protagonist is their skin and in particular its color, its shade, and its shades. The very first plans of the chosen subjects have been championed according to the Pantone catalog, now the most used, and placed on the background of the color of their skin. The result is an ever-evolving project that tells stories that go beyond a source, a color, and much more.
