Music meets streetwear at adidas x Foot Locker’s block party

An event in the name of sport and good music: the first adidas x Foot Locker block party transported Milan to the atmospheres of the New York suburbs and the heart of hip-hop culture with a unique event. Live performances, basketball games and street food - including nachos, hotdogs and freak shakes, helped to celebrate the launch of the two new colourways of the adidas Forum made exclusively for Foot Locker EU on last Saturday at the Lido in Milan. The original 1984 model, one of the most popular and recognised basketball silhouettes, was in fact tinted in two new shades: one bright green and the other ochre yellow and purple, symbolising one of the most heated sporting rivalries of the 1980s.

From the afternoon at the Milan Lido, basketball and fun were the undisputed protagonists of the event, with game moments such as the dunk contest or the 3point contest, as well as DJ sets with the stars of the Milanese music scene, freestyle competitions and other interactive challenges organised by Da Move, host of the entire event. A time to celebrate sports and have fun, giving everyone -even those who had never played basketball, a chance to experience the thrill of making a three-pointer. Those who participated in the games also had the chance to take home not only some themed accessories and gift cards, but also a pair of adidas Forum. Accompanying the moments of game and sport were the three live performances that enlivened the entire evening: Rossella Essence, Davide Dev and Digital Astro, among the most interesting names in the Italian rap scene, who made the crowd dance into the sunset, amidst laughter and light-heartedness.
