Cafes in St. Mark's Square and swans on the Lido, anti-racist rallies in Mestre and hands with latex gloves on the Vaporetto – fear, disorientation but also the irresistible push towards life. These are the subjects of Eric Scaggiante's photographic journey collected in the zine VE2020, created in collaboration with digital artist Davide Fossati a.k.a. Abraxas, who sings the cover and made by Marco Cavazzin of the creative studio Acido Lattico Venezia. The lockdown told by Eric Scaggiante, a.k.a. eric.persona, who is 21 years old, doesn't lose anything of its dramatic actuality but is coloured with excess and extravagance telling first of all the daily life in Venice and in the area of its municipality. In the introduction of his zine Scaggiante recalls:

In 2020 I had spent most of the time near Venice, where I was born and raised, walking alone here and there, and taking photos for pleasure, mostly without asking, mostly at living beings, mostly using the flash. So I found myself embraced by boredom, with the desire to create something concrete and with a few photos, more and less beautiful, without a particular message or complaint, but all taken in the most ambiguous year that all alive people have never lived.
